Developed from student-led research and transformed into a site-specific exhibition through artistic direction and curation.

Hooded Alchemy is an artist-directed exploration of falconry traditions reinterpreted through contemporary drawing, design, and object-making. The project originated from research and experimentation within my Drawing Studio course, where students closely studied falcons, feathers, and traditional hood forms as sources of visual and material inquiry.

Through a process of artistic direction, selection, and recomposition, this material was transformed into a cohesive, site-specific installation of custom falcon hoods and display objects. Rather than replicating traditional forms, Hooded Alchemy treats the falcon hood as a site of transformation—where cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary visual language converge within a formal exhibition context.
